Has any one lost an upper A arm bolt. I see the spindle is now egg shaped from the bolt falling out. I wonder if Yamaha will warranty this?

Landscape88...Welcome to the site...There is a safety recall on the Nytro's for the upper A-arm bolt. You should receive a letter any day now or just call your dealer.
The fix is to remove the bolt and file off the burr inside the bolt hole attached to the frame and apply blue loctite to the bolt and retorque it. Good luck

Definitely take it to your Dealer, especially if there is damage. I'm not sure if all Nytros are affected by the recall though.

I had the A arm bolt at the frame removed and retightened with locktite.landscape88 said:Has any one lost an upper A arm bolt. I see the spindle is now egg shaped from the bolt falling out. I wonder if Yamaha will warranty this?
This is the bolt that is vertical that ties into the spindle through the adjustable end. The nut seems to have backed off and the bolt wobbled a while in the spindle causing it to egg shape. I do not believe that this was part of the warranty recall that I have received.

I'm sure it will be a warrenty job! This is a dot/Yamaha recall! Yamaha has no choice on this one! Not their choice anymore! Any damages, injuries, etc would be a legal commitment and liability for Yamaha to cover weather they like it or not! This is a dot safety/Yamaha recall!

prob warranty
they might warranty it, but its not covered in the recall.
as you said, the recall is for the A-arm bolt in the frame hitting the burr.
It has nothing to do with the spindle end bolt coming loose. another thing to check on i guess when i do my "under hood" inspection every weekend.
def bring to dealer or call em. Would def tell em not to fix if not covered though, do it yourself and save if they denny it. and call yami too to bitch.
theres no need of ur sled vibrating fasteners loose. loctite is cheap insurance on these 9-10k video games!!
dont worry about joe2003 he just doesnt read the previous posts...did the same in another topic as well.
