Sled was working fine all day turning up 10800 rmps then she dropped to 10000 rpms. I put new plugs in and by passed the TORS, and its still only goes to 10,000 rpms. Anyone know what the problem is?

If you have more than 5k miles on cluthes, then I would start there! Then check all running bearing; wheels jackshaft, sprocket.

Same thing happened to me last year and i changed everything from clutches to the cdi box. Never fixed it, so i traded it. Dealer could not fix it either. Good luck.

I got the throttle bodies off now and there is alot of dirt and gunk on three of them. I'm going to clean them up as much as I can with some carb cleaner and a fine brush on the Dremal tool. Then I'm going to add some seafoam to the gas. Hopefully this will fix everything upsuperb said:Same thing happened to me last year and i changed everything from clutches to the cdi box. I have the same problem 3500 miles, I am going to start with both clutch springs, all the bearings are good, new plugs, belt, clean clutches, I had a hard time getting 9000rpm out of the hole, then it would drop to 8500rpm and go up to 10500rpm. I tried ajusting the secondary form 60-120 with small improvment. I run 198 studs and a cobra with extroverts. Any clutching help to overcome the extra weight of studs appreciated. Private message me please as I do not mean to hijack this post.

Found the problem! The fuel pump was not pumping enough gas. I put another on on and she runs perfect.

After I tested all the sensors, cleaned throttle bodies and rebuilt clutches and new belt. It still runned like crap. So I replaces the fuel pump and now everything is normal again. The old fuel pump came on when the key was turned on but it wasn't pumping full force.
