Low Compression Pistons

I have to tell you that Greg ran the low comp pistons last year and it was not doggy at all off the start. If someone has low end problems, it is not the pistons.

For the guy's running small front mount turbo's ,There won't be any dif ,but for the guy's running the bigger rear mounts they will run a little doggier off the line.No worry's cause its just for a split second then hold the hell on!

Buckeye, Your sleds gonna rock with those pistons! Did you see the bigger turbo "Rx Warrior" put on his front mount system? ...a good mod for you down the road?

I am looking into a new Garret Turbo, but probably not as big as Phil's. I am waiting to see the dyno sheets first.

i am looking for the cometic gasket 057".. nobody have it . where can i buy it ???? i need one . thebest

Anybody know if low comp pistons are available for vectors, and if so where I could get them from?

:rocks:

Wiseco shows them in their catalog, but no part number.. Call them at 1-440-951-6600.

I'm sure Matt at the Speedshop can round them up for you too. www.thespeedshop1.com

I have sent a couple of emails to wiseco about this, here is my latest reply from them as of about a week ago.

This piston is still in R & D. There is not a release date at this time.
We will not release a piston into the field until it has been thoroughly
tested by our R & D department.
I would suggest you contact the Turbo manufacture to see what they are
recommending for pistons at this time.

Thanks guys, wasn't sure if I was going to do the pistons right away, but apparently I'll just do the head gasket for now.

;)!

Has anyone tried the low comp pistons with the .067 gasket. Would going that low on comp be a prob? What if you are shooting for 20+lbs boost and maybe some N20 wouldnt it be best?
