Low sport windshield install help

I have a 2017 RTX. Picked up a used Low sport windshield from a 2014.

As you can see in the pictures, the 2014 sport shield has an ear with a mount hole coming down on each side and my 2017 oem does not have this mount location.

These mount holes line up with a plastic dart on the hood. My question, is this plastic dart replaced with a longer dart or a differant hardware set up when the low shield goes on? The original dart doesnt look long enough.

That windshield is made for a Sidewinder hood. You have to cut that ear off the blue one to use on a Viper.

Anyone have a picture of how to trim this shield to fit a Viper?
