Hey guys, put a trail permit on the mtx this year and since it comes stock with the extreme low windshield it doesnt exactly offer much wind protection. Looking to get something a bit taller. Is the low sport enough to deflect the wind over you or should i go up to mid?

I trail ride and the mid height was good when I had it on. You could still stand it up without worry about the windshield hitting you in the face

I have since switched to a tall windshield because I hate the wind. I roast behind it and sometimes wish I had my midheight for cooling

The mid 12.5 inches above console. The mid-sport is 10.5 inches. The new windshields this year accommodate the windshield mounted mirrors. See the FAQs for the Crosstour windshield thread. Part numbers are listed. Thanks guys, is there a big difference between the mid and mid sport?

How high is the LTX measured off dash? Hers is 13". Mine is 14 1/2"- the one w blue flames on the sides. I like hers better, she never complains about cold..Stock LTX windshield is perfect for me, tried the low one and was too cold

Just a guess off the top of my head, it’s below 13 inches for sure maybe 10inches of dash. Not huge wind protection but much better compared to the low one I had installed at one time. The low height one did not last once I got one of those 0 degree riding days..

These shields provide great protection for their size. I am pretty impressed with them and handguards.
