The front skid shock lower eye bushing is said to be a common issue with Cat sleds. The bushing is simply a piece of rubber that is really quite pliable. I think my drip line tubing is tougher than this material. Word is that this bushing gets pounded out. If left long enough it will wear the eye of the shock.
I had my shocks out before the sled even hit the snow so I ordered up Hygear's metal eye bushing. It fit loose in the eye so I slid it onto the shaft so as not to deform it and gave it 4 peens with a pointed punch and then tapped it into the shock. Sorry I got carried away when doing this and forgot to take pics. I did get pics of the bushings side by side though.
