Any idea if its possible to lower the mtn sled closer to the ground. Looks like a may be selling it and its going to be used a village cruiser in Oz. Don't want it tipping over with sit down riders on it. Kind of sad as it wont be getting much wot ;(

Niko.

Do you have stock ski's?You can move the spacers to the out side to widen the stance. Are you able to put the sway bar on with timber front end?

Man, I'd love to have that ride.....

How much for shipping to Duluth, MN, USA from the Mountains of Australia?????? ;-)

What do you ride in Lake Tahoe when you come to the states?

I think he said he rides a Polaris IQ RMK once. Not a Yamaha tho.....

I wonder why Niko is selling. I bet he going to a Nytro MTX.

Hi guys well went for a ride today and first off the bat she cut out while I was running with no warning. Re started it and all was good then I got a code 84(tors) no bigy as I have a lefty and the cable may have been a little frozen.
Then I'm riding a little further and get 2 codes 84 and 42 (speed sensor) Then no speed on the gauge. Then I start smelling something electrical so I kill it.
Pop the side cover off and have a look, well the bearing (jackshaft) is gone !!
So its a tow home (10miles)

Yes folks looks like I have sold it to another lodge owner for $10,000 and the reasons are a few. One Its done 5000ks and its a 07 time to up grade, Two its a little too big for the riding we are doing here(163'). We just don't get deep enough snow for it to shine proper and because of this you do get tired at the end of a long ride and you feel the weight when trying the new school moves.
I do ride a rmk900 back in Tahoe which I love but that's getting sold too.
Looks like I'm going for a way smaller sled not sure yet but maybe a 144" 2 stroke polaris. Will start looking once I'm back over there. Will miss the power but at least I still get to ride it once in a while;)

Niko, You can move the suspension up in the drop brackets 1", which would lower it a little.

Also, since you are running the timbersled, you might be able to put spacers in the rear shock, to limit the range of motion, some of the shock rebuild place could do that for you.

Another option might be to put a limiter strap on the rear shock like the front has but longer - you might be able to combine two together to be longer.

Per your last comment, i've got a 144" Phazer for sale with only a few hundred miles, and my buddy in Tahoe has a 153 or 162" Nytro for sale as well if you don't want to move over to the dark side...

Mark

Thanks for that info, I've done the 1" drop bracket placement but the limiter strap I may have a look at.
I've pretty much got my mind on a 2 stroke at this stage as I'm not keen on the nytro's set up.
Looks like a 144" dragon 800 maybe the choice. Not sure yet.

so the update on this post is I will still be using the apex even thou I've sold it. The lodge owners want me to do all service on it and store it over summer so I don't loose out totally ;)

Sweet deal!
