M-Flow Ventilation

Just the tiny vent screen and you have to cut up your inner panel and install it yourself

looks like a good deal. I agree that Mt vent is $$.

My only concern with these are, wouldn't they fog up your gauges when you stop on trail and idle for a bit?

I made my own vent this year...looks exactly like that one plus I made 2 more that go on the sides of that one...no fogging gauges and on an average 5 minute stop, my temps dropped 15-20 degrees by allowing heat to escape. I still think that the tuning fork symbols on the top shroud need to be removed and a vent placed there for the perfect kit

I ran one all this season. Easy to install, just take the console off and cut it out, sand the rough edges and rivet the vent on. Mo Flow sends a paper template to help with the cut out and provides the rivets.

After running it all season I notived a few things:
-when the sled is idling the rad can draw on cold air when the fan kicks on. The sled can idle twice as long now than before without the vent, before the heat light comes on.
-i beilieve that by having that vent it lets more air flow into the vents beside the headlight, again giving the rad a better chance for cold air while riding.
-when the sled is off it allows the heat to escape and doesnt keep it bottled up.
- when there is moisture inside the hood (snow build up), and steam is created it gives it a chance to vent out and not keep that condensation inside.

As for the instrument display. When the you shut it off, yes some condesation forms on the outside of the screen, but its gone after a minute or two. Once you start riding, its gone right away. not a big deal.

Hope that helps.

hey

It dosen't take much to install at all. The dash piece comes off easily and you just cut the hole out, and the amount of heat that comes out is amazing.

Thanks for the review guys! I'm sold. I don't mind putting a little work in to make it work.

I notice a lot of heat comes out of the hole for the steering post stock so this should really work well. I also have additional cloth like vents over the to big vents in the side panels to block out fine powder which IMO probably blocks more cool air from entering.

This seems like a good alternative to the mountaintech version and it looks better. Don't get me wrong, mountaintech still makes some great products for our nytros!

The moflo vent works really well. The gauge fogs but only for a minute or two. You don't have to take anything off the sled, just tape the template where you want it and use a sharp utility blade. I just didn't put the very bottom rivet in mine.

hey

I have both side panels vented like this, and the dash panel and nose vent.
