M7000 270 mcx problems with heat

Hey !

I bought a m7000 270 mcxpress recently. But it had cracks in the manifold so I bought a mbrp header. With that, I had to knock the sparkplug gap down to 0.016. And now the problems with heat come. On a long trip yesterday the side panel has melted. has anyone had similar problems? Is it because of the manifold or spark plugs ?

Boost makes heat. Turn it down for trail running or line side panel with heat reflective tape. Will help prevent panel from melting.
