Hi,
I put my Micron pipe on today and will get my jetting done tomorow for my K&N's. Going with 160 jets, stock needle and pilot. Try 2.5 turns on the screw and then balance to start with.

Here's the problem. Ever since we put the reverse in, I believe I'm powering through my clutch. I know it gears down slightly and it stands to reason. I'm presently doing 140 on the lake at rev limit 11k.

Even running across fields the tach pins to 10.5-11k and stays there while accelerating. Even climbing hills I'm over-revving. The top end is fine, but I'd like way more pull on acceleration if possible.

What should I do to my clutch as I'm no expert?

I'll post a pic of my exhaust install tomorrow. It's a no frills weight loss thing and slightly different than what I've seen out there. I think it looks cool with the Boss seat.

LB,

Yeah, I got that. Everyone seems to have a dialed in setup though so I thought it might save me a bit of trial and error. Top speed is ok as I'm in the hills a lot. Besides, I have most of my fun under 30 mph.

Are you coming to the Manitoba ride?

After reading your posts, a couple of us Alberta boys would like to shoot the sh*t with you and maybe even a beer or two.

It sounds like a lot of fun. A few years ago when I lived up in Thompson we went on a snow trip to Cross Lake and back. Rivers and lakes baby!!!!!

Big powder, lots of power and just GOOOOO!!!!

I hope this is the same. They must have lots of hills on the lakes because water skiing is popular there in the summer.

We slacked the secondary to 60 degrees and added weights to the primary. Goes good now.

Hey heads up one thing... when you're running a loose secondary, do the hand-feel test to make sure its not getting too hot. Loose secondary can lead to excessive slipping sometimes. Not saying that it WILL, just making sure that you're aware of the possibility.
