I am new to this froup so I have to say HI to all. I was apart of a different group but they were all one sided. ANYHOW! I have a 05' 660 SE Griz. I love this thing! I need another. But! I want to take care of it. Maintence wise. At what kinds of intervals and milage do I need to start working it over. I am not scared to take a wrench to the grizz and do what I have to do. I go through mud, Water and trail ride. I am pretty mechanical savy so thats not a problem. I just haven't gone though the beast yet. I would like advice/tips for maintence. Also how can I pretect my griz from water damage and water shut downs? Any advice would be great. I live in MN so the beast is use to Snow also. Thanks for the help.

WOW
OK, so when I wrote this form I must have been a little drunk. So I must say I am sorry for that. I did get a little from the old lady tho. So how often are you guys going through your machines? Change oil, What should I greese, and all the other fluids?

hey hunter, fluid changes are largely depending on your usage ( conditions, hours and miles, check your manuel for maintainance schedule). as a rule, i change all fluids: diff's , oil ,filter, and coolant annually. more frequently if the grizz goes for a good dip in the local pond or mud bog. get the service manual if you haven't~ 50-60 bucks- well worth it if you can turn a wrench

I would just stay in habit of changing the oil every year and more if you sink it often, Valve adjustment after 500 miles I would also recommend.

You can get a service manual on cd on ebay for under $10. That's what I did. Much better then giving Yamaha $60 for one.
