I am thinking of ecp, I have a stock 03 and i am putting on a ripsaw 1.25 yamaha track it has 6000 miles and runs strong. About the only thing i get beat by is some f7"s. Is this kit going to make me smile? I know there is performance to be had by carb tuning, i have a 03 fz1 bike same engine as the rx1 with a ivans carb kit and it is better power delivery . Than my 04 fuel injected r1 bike. Will I be happy?

Indyapex1... this only happens to some of the RX1's. Not all of them push oil out of the crankcase vent. Besides, the ones that do, do the same thing with the stock airbox. Moving the crankcase vent filter up to the aluminum bracket in front of the steering post solves this problem anyway.

Yes the installation of an evac will cure the oil problem if your sled pushes oil from the crankcase vent.

filters in cold temps
I am thinking of going to ecp filters but I am worried about cold temp trail riding and lake for snow dust building up on filters and iceing up.I sled in north bay area and some winters it is cold.Has anyone had this problem and if so is there any thing that could be done to minamize the problem.I ride with alot of ski doo guys so I dont want to create any problems but would like to have the extra mid range power.

Re: filters in cold temps
This is why my Air Kits include pre filters. They are water repellent and work well.

Hey Freddie,
How much are the pre filters? I have a kit but wondered if I should run the pre filters...or can I just run some mesh in the 2 hood vents? Dont bust powder ofther but am more concerned with snow dust if I am riding with a group.
Thanks
