Hey guys and gals, I haven’t seen anything yet on a 2015 Manitoba BBQ, I know everyone is probably busy getting ready for uh the winter season, you know looking at new sleds like Bounty, but we should get together before the snow flies again. Some of us ride year round, lol.
Last year in one of my posts I suggested that we should get together for a BBQ at the Drag Strip as oppose to having someone host it at their house. Jackie and Jeff were out at the Drag Strip a couple of times this year and liked that idea when I suggested it. Every could bring their camper, tent, motorhome, whatever they have, enjoy the days events and then we could still do a bbq at the end on the day. Whoever wants to stick around the next day can do so. Camping is rough, however there are flush toilets and showers. There is no power for the campers, but you can bring a generator, which I do, but you’re asked to turn it off for the night unless it’s a super quiet one. There is no cost to camp, just your entry fees, 10 bucks per day per person on test & tune days (Saturdays) 15 bucks on race day (Sundays) and 20 for special feature days.
Of course we’d want to do this on an event weekend and here is the website with the schedule http://interlakedragway.org/cms/ . In 2 weeks there is a Bike/Sled Challenge the will be happening on the Saturday, but that would probably be tight for people and you may already have plans. On the August long weekend Brett Wagner will be their hosting along with Jet cars. On the September long weekend are the Can/Am Outlaws and a couple of Nitro A Fuel Dragsters. I’m hoping to get my Apex Turbo out by that weekend possible sooner. Long weekends are usually fairly busy with lots of cars, racers and spectators, which is usually more entertaining as they have those special events on long weekends.
Anyone interested in any of those weekends? Long weekend or regular weekend, any preferences? There is also a couple more weekends after the September long but those may be iffy weather wise.

I do believe Bounty had a BBQ plan.
I haven't seen anything posted yet. Thanks.
Just wait. I'm sure he will chime in around 3am.

Race Track does sound like fun

Race track is a cool idea. We would only come out for a day as we are not camper people.
Do we all get to do "test runs" with your sled down the track?

We may get away with that if you can fit in my leathers and helmet, then the track staff wouldn't know who is driving, who knows you may do better than me this year, I'm having a tough time making past one round other than gamblers races where we don't accumulate points!! Camping is fun, you should try it sometime!

Sorry but meeting at a race track is out for me........have a bad addiction. Last time I went to a race track to help a friend tune his bike I found myself building a race bike for myself when I came to my senses.
