Yah bye! :4STroke:
No way even a good 2 smoke can run with a tuned turbo.

According to TDs chart 72G is a good starting point for MS16 SM.

Ya my max 16msm tune this year hopefully will pull my daltons that I reworked to be actual weight of 73.3 empty, so if now they are to light I can now add some more weight to the mix.

Dialled in this tune on the lake today. Hard crisp snowpack.

Quay 70s with 1.3 gram slug in the tip, yamaha O-S-O primary, tp rollers, 41-35 dalton, dalton gen 1 BO @ 6-1, torlon secondary rollers, 1" track, 144 sharpened megabites, 22/41 gears. 58.5mm offset, 8jp belt.

For reference the Quay 70s empty weighed 72 grams on my scale and the dtya1s empty weighed 74 grams.

Clutches cool to the touch, no sign of belt slip on sheaves, rpms about 9000-50ish, just a tad high but should be bang on when conditions aren't so crisp.

Sure love this tune, nice and quiet, lots of power!! Now we just need snow.

Mine will be close to yours, except I may be lower rpm wise, because of 825 vrs 8jp,do you still run mod muffler or stock,i cant remember from last years posts? Your tune sure sounds like its working awesome now. Congrates

I'm running the stock muffler now pete, nice and quiet. I do a few long trips a winter and the drone from the performance mufflers is too much.

Thanks brother, man I wish now I had a stocker, because now this new max 16 we have can run it,and now sounds like you have it running good, just wondering,do you have one of travis belt adjusters, and do you float your secondary any? Also have you ever run or do you think you ever will try the 825 Timken?

Thats funny, this is now same match that my dtya-1,s weigh,my only problem now is i have the 825 and i bet i will be to heavy for them, last year on that belt i ran my stm ramps.

My QAY-70s weighed 69.85g. I have mine loaded to 73.1. Expect to run the sled 1st time since change next Mon or Tues. Judging by your report I should be rear close. Thanks.

I had the TP belt adjuster year one and the threads galled up so ever since then its been stock. My secondary floats like stock. I've had good luck with the 8jps so I don't see the need to try the XS.

I've only blown a few belts in 3 seasons and I consider them all self inflicted as I was testing different springs and such. The first 3 seasons my offset was 60.65 this season I'm at 58.5 as per Daves alignment tool. A few long pulls today and my clutches are cool with no sign of slippage on the sheaves. I'm happy with where I'm at, now it needs to snow so I can enjoy some trail riding.

It's funny how my Qay70s weighed 72. My dtya1s weighed 74. Weighed back to back and a few times cause I thought the 70s were supposed to weigh 70 grams.

Dalton's 70's all weigh right at 70G, not 72G however. Doesn't seem right. Get them on another scale.
