MCX 290 seat options

Eventually I'm planning on buying the MCX 290 kit for my 08 Apex Mtn and I'm curious as to which seats work for it. I currently have a Boss seat on it but I also still have the stock seat. Will the Boss seat work with the MCX 290 kit or do I need to keep my stock seat around? Thanks guys.

I believe most every seat will work, the kit is made for oem, but i modded the MountainMod seat with great success.

Is it the rear mount or mid mount kit?

The rear mount will fit with any seat that will fit with the stock exhast.

The mid mount requires cutting of the seat (any seat) to fit.

I assumed he meant midmount when i made my reply, does the rearmount still exist for sale?
Anyhow, the midmount is made for stock seat, that have to be modded also, but it fits stock seat better then for ex. MountainMod, i had to put an hour or two extra to make it fot my MountainMod, but it worked.

I know, with the stock seat it's an hour if your take your time, I seal it up with fibre glass and resin to keep moisture out, the seat gets more rigid in the process.

I didn't even know the offered it in a rear mount. I believe it's all just mid mount now.

The boss seat does not allow for stock exhaust, I have an undertunnel on it currently.

They still offer both the rear and mid mounts for the Apex.
