Same kit just has the extra injectors in the inter cooler

The 290 2011 up kits use stock injectors - and the 2011 up 315 kit uses extra injectors like the older kits. The newer Apex's use larger stock injectors so they can support more boost then the old Apex's

so the 25 extra hp is that developed though the mcx ecu or does it run more boost

The 315 kit Runs more boost, 17 psi.
I turned up the fuelpressure, and remapped the mcx-box, then the sled had enough fuel for 17 psi.
A friend of mine upgraded his 290 kit to a 315 kit.
With same boost, no difference at this sleds.
But, both of us got at major engine breakdown. Pistons cracked, rod broke, no more engine. If it was the higher boostpressure or not. I dont know.
I bought a new engine, replaced the pistons in JE 9:1, replaced the rods to Carillo. Have bought a Garrett 3071, but haven't finished installing the new turbo. Hoping for a lot more than 315 [emoji106]

Make sure you have enough octane - 94 won't support 17 lbs of boost. The stock injectors are wide open on the 290 kit at 14 lbs, the increase in fuel pressure from the rising rate regulator will keep a/f decent to 19 pounds but its on the edge and not a good way to control fuel. The extra injectors in the inter cooler gives you tons of fuel and I've run over 25 pounds on import race fuel, but I have longer head studs and welded the block in the weak places

I hear ya same thing happened to me broke piston rod broke went threw block nothing left to motor. Putting carillo rods, 10:1 cp pistons and arp studs. Sold my 290 kit and ordered a new 315 kit i think the extra injectors in the inner cooler will be better if i turn it up some like machzrobbile said

Where do you guys ride a sled with 300hp? I can't imagine running a sled like that through the trails. I rode a friends sled with 250hp briefly and it accelerated to 100 in what seemed like a few seconds. I of course was riding this on a wide open straight way with no turns in site but the thought of getting into a tight trail with turns with that kind of power seemed ludicrous! I'll be the first to admit I don't have the skills for that! I'm at 8lbs and that seems just right. I thought 10 would be good but I don't think its necessary.

I trail ride 260hp, just cause you have it doesn't mean you use it at ever corner
The acceleration is freaking amazing. Good to see MCX pushing the limits. I wish I could get 300+ hp on 91 octane. Just not going to happen.

It's all in the thumb. That's what I tell everyone. It's funny when people take it for a quick spin and they come back and say your fricken nuts.

Exactly its awesome fun trail riding 300+hp. It doesn't mean u have to use it all the time u just have to use your head and be smart about the power

I am thinking of putting an ignition interlock onto mine just in case Jack Daniels shows up
My trail viper is at 260 hp and my drag sled will be done next week will be close to 350 hp and I just cannot wait to pull the trigger on this thing.
