MCX Boost controller?

I have an 03 with a Rear Mount MCX, are most guys using a variable boost controller?

I am running 10 pounds at the altitude I ride, what is the highest possible safe boost with pump gas?

Are guys using a larger blow off valve, someone told me the one I have is smaller that what is now used?
