Having probs with the aluminum carb flanges poping off under boost.

thinking about using set screws or glue.?

has anyone used apoxy or glue to get them to seat.?
and does it hold under huge boost like 25 PSI.

popps off around 18 pounds.

thanx in advance

I think Devin was talking about his intercooler too blue boots, cause @ 18lb's boost he couldn't keep on his intercooler (even after zip tied) Devin maybe try the hairspray trick!

glue

ya Havin probs with both poppin off

going to use turn buckles for the intercooler to the frame and glue the flanges too

glue

I thought about JB weld too

going to try it out.

anyone got a forsure fix to the stalling after high boost issue.???

got 127.5 M, 15 P, needles full down, idle @2200 rpm, 2 BOV's and still doing it.??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Devin, roughup inner bore of aluminum flange and outer bore of carb with sandpaper or emery cloth, then wipe down with lacquer thinner. Mix up some JB Weld, apply thinly to both surfaces, install flange onto carb and wipe away excess. As for the stalling problem, haven't got that one figured out yet but I think most people are jetting too lean for starters. I found a great tuning website the other night you should check out. I'll try to find it right now. PS Someone I know has an MC rear mount on an RX and is running 147.5s.
