Is anyone going richer than 135 main jets on their mcx rear mount. When I hammer the throttle from a standstill I go lean to over 13 on my a/f but if I release the throttle for a split second and hammer it again I gain major rpm and my a/f goes down to 12.4. Anyone seen this on a Mcx system. All jetting is stock except I am trying Hurricanes cv springs. Thanx for any help. Shad

That is what we have seen happening on our sleds, by going from stock springs to Hurricane's springs we went lean just as you say, almost exact #s. '03 RX-1 with MCX rear mount turbo.

Skydog - you were absolutely right about the springs, after doing the same all the springs there is routine (while the silver kinda worked) I found that the stockers were the best, and even better the stockers cut down 20 millimeters had better throttle response, but it is a band aid either way. Go with Hurricane turbo springs and be done with it, you may have to jet up. The turbo springs are as stiff as the stockers and a lot longer.

Mine was rich up to 7000 rpms where it cleared out, it ran almost perfect AFRs from 7000 and up, so I would say I had a low end rich condition from take off to about 6000 rmps where boost started to build, at 7000 rpms it made 10 lbs and 16 lbs shortly after.
