Is it normal for the boost gauge to read a vacuum @ idle?
Mine is reading about -5 to -7 at idle.
How can you zero a boost gauge?
It's an Autometer gauge.
Thanks.

It reads vacumm at idle wich is normal and your #s are consistant with what I have seen on all our sleds here.

If it's the liquid filled autometer, there is a screw in the side of the case near the top of the guage to zero it, just loosen it and it will zero, then tighten back up. We always drill a small hole in the cup that we put the guage in so it can be bled to zero the guage.

Did you take the gauge almost all the way out? I have had two of these and my first one the screw almost had to be all the way out before it would equalize.

we had the delta box flipped over while doing a head gasket and studs.. when we flipped it back up it was like this, 15 lbs with the motor off.. we did take the screw out several times and no luck. i have read about a screw inside the gauge to calibrate it but we didnt see one.. auto meter said they havent seen any thing like this.. guess its time to buy a new one.
