Relax! Not what you are thinking! 18 LTX-LE, there is more to this issue and question but just need to get some initial feedback. If the brake lever was partially pressed while riding, would it create enough brake disk friction/heat to melt the black plastic cover that is riveted under the sled located directly under the brake disk? Trying to diagnose why the black plastic cover would be demolished. 8 miles on the sled. Any comments would be helpful.

What colour is rotor blue if not my guess you hit something

Not blue. Normal brown metal color.

Sled be gone. It is at dealer getting disk cover replaced. Strange problem.
