Method to change PTO jackshaft bearing w/o chaincase removal

You need to have a check because if that bearing goes shes F'd. When it went on mine I thought something went into one of the piston shafts or something and was rippin into the walls, nothing but the bitter screeches coming out of her. Even towing with any of those bearings gone will do a lot of damage to the chaincase and shafts. Cost you a lot more than the time it takes to just check the bearings. Trust me on this, I'm only 17 and didn't know anything about all this stuff and I guess you learn from you mistakes, I was lucky though, that the sled wasn't far from the road so I could drive her to the truck once we found the problem was just a bearing and not the engine.
