Chain and gear removal is necessary for JACKSHAFT bearing, not DRIVESHAFT bearing (behind speedo gear).
To remove driveshaft bearing, undo the bolts and remove the speedo and alignment plate. Use a LONG allen wrench to remove the TWO set screws on the bearing collar IN THE TUNNEL. Make sure that the track is loose, then the bearing should practically FALL out, otherwise a crowbar lightly against the wheel should be enough to nudge the bearing out.
