Yes...head to Alger county, drop & ride east for a couple days. Then drive to Land-o-lakes to play around on the lake.
There is a good base in Alger with plenty of snow to the east.
I was expecting an additional 6in + to hit Alger. But that doesn't look like it's going to materialize.
Not my best plan, but a plan nevertheless....lol.

Yeah it kind of makes sense ironwood and villas county would get the party started. Just a matter of time.....
 
Looks like that storm coming next Monday and Tuesday could turn out to be a good one that finally gives many area’s something to work with grooming their trail. I expect more and more news channels will start to take notice today and tomorrow.. This storm looks to cover very large area. Multiple states and Canada will be involved so they say …

I'm hoping Lake Minocqua gets marked soon. Oneida County has said they will not open without more snow. Vilas got some LES this week to be able to open. It was mostly the northern half of Vilas. I think the Derby, & MLK weekend had something to do with it.

Haven’t seen anybody checking for sound up there. Been thru a few stops the past few years around Munising / wetmore but they were checking for stickers and registration. I run a Sandale 3” muffler nobody said a word or even checked

DNR hangs out at intersection of 8 & 419??
They were checking out some other guys so I was able to wave and throttle thru, with no sticker displayed & 3" muffler. Lol.
Yes, I was scared on the return.

If you're staying in wetmore you'll head south to the main trail (8) to take you to Grand Marais. So 419 South to 8, that's the intersection you'll see them at.
It's the main thoroughfare, no way around it.
Thus the reason they picked that spot.
But like simplespeed just said, the muffler should be a non-issue.
