Putting a new lower side panel on the SW tonight (blown belt) and noticed a pretty good gap under the clutch immediately behind the lower A-arm. I put a bit of black silicone in there to close it up. Sorry, no before pic, but here’s the ‘after’ shot:

I posted some pics when I did my BOP belt protector back in fall, Its in my build thread.
I filled all my gaps with silicone, clutch side.
I did notice lots of road sand in my muffler side later after riding, so that same gap exists on right side panel too, not as important really since clutches are on other side, but still something I will seal up.

Are you sure that the sand isn’t entering through the lovers by the header? I get allot of sand on my viper and have a full skid plate so that should seal up the bottom pretty well. Viper also has a much bigger opening by the header than winder too.

Not for me...it was all thru the gap on lower right panel.Are you sure that the sand isn’t entering through the lovers by the header? I get allot of sand on my viper and have a full skid plate so that should seal up the bottom pretty well. Viper also has a much bigger opening by the header than winder too.
