Mileage Check on 2011 apexs

2011 xtx
380 miles
hitting 10,600 rpm,s.
getting quicker every ride. this thing has some serious balls!

2011 Standard Apex

200+ miles on mix of trail conditions, but mostly rough stuff.

*VERY* happy with it so far, but this is only my second season riding and I'm coming from a 2002 Arctic Cat ZR500, so I'm guessing I'd be impressed by any 2011 model sled. Really like the mid-range and generally happy with the ergos and handling. Bone stock right now. Think it needs more carbide or to adjust to get more ski pressure. Also would like about another 2" on the handlebars (I'm 6' 2", and like to stand on occasion). Wish it had 2 more gallons of fuel capacity...

Have a multi-day trip to Ontario planned for March - have the sense that it will really shine on those trails.

850 kms, doing first oil change.Shortened limiter strap one hole, studboy deuse bars.Coming off a 2008 apex, I am liking the 2011 more with each ride.

Close to 800 miles on mine....nice sled, dont't know if it's worth the money. Has the same chronic problem as the old with hyfax wear. A good used one with mods would be a better value. And I say this cause I have an 06 RTX that handles better, maybe not quite as fast

What effect did the one hole movement do for you for handling. I have moved transfer rod to add more weight to the front but still need to eliminate some of the push and body roll up front. I have a 13mm sway bar installed already and Ohlin's up front. The spring preload is stock on the ohlines and I think I can compress them more with the preload adjustmnet.

As of today, I am at 460 with another 100 today. Still working on getting the front dialed in. I have Ohlins on the front. the weight transfer was way too much from stock to adding to that. It has been warm, hand warmers do work better. Higher seat height is great. love the 128 over the 121. Bridges bumps great. The torque is fantastic. Starts hard and idles rough on cold start.

10,000km's

and what have you experienced so far?

2500kms=2 powersteering failures, 2 relay problems, warm startup problems compared to -30c startups which completely backwards, two handwarmer failures.

All in all easy fixes so not bad and spanking 165hp+ arctic kittys in 500' like theres no tomorrow lol. That 144" sure makes the loss alot worse for them compared to my old 136"

I just bought the sled. Lol. But I have all service records. Only the RA cable broke, and worn out brake pads

Sled always starts no problem

Your's is the first one I have heard of.

I was expecting to hear some failures on with the Gizzly Atv's and never did so it is surprising to hear you have had 2 with your sled?

5300kms, left heat grip died, rubber on one inner skid wheel peeled off and one RA cable (all first season). Mine had the start issue a couple of times when it was brand new but has not done it since. On the third season with this sled now and the more miles I put on the better it runs....

Grizzly has been perfect but the issues wit powersteering to me doesnt seem to be the cold air but the snow that piles in the nose cone from nose diving. Hard to prevent it when you know thats whats going on even with vent covers.

Last year at 340 miles I had my Fox Mega Float fail on me. They warrantied it though, and at 420 miles my TORS locked up for some reason, but after a quick trip to the stealership it ended up being a stuck button. Even without studs I can still mop the floor with the F8's I ride with.
