I turned 14K on my warrior last season. I'm looking at options for next year but I not in a good money situation this year. What kind of mileage are people getting from the RXs?
I thinking about just rebuilding the skid (has new track), installing new jackshaft and drive shaft bearing and running it another year.
Anything else I should do. It ran great last season. My simmons skies are toast but other than that its in good condition.

Here's a thread with some info.
My '03 is closing in on 9000 miles, turboed for half it's life and still running strong.

I have an 03 RX-1 mountain which currently has 31,300 on the odometer. Still runs and drives like new.

It might be wise to have a look at your exhaust gaskets, and check the bulkhead bushings for wear. Have front end of machine suspended, while grabbing ski, and moving up and down. If lots of play on the inner bolts that go through bulkhead, thats a job to be done. Those 2 items should keep you busy for a few hours and are well worth doing if you are keeping your warrior....Don

While you're changing jackshaft bearing, might as well change bearings in chaincase also.

I echo the above comments.
Priority for next season:
Front end bushings
chain case bearings
Drive shaft bearings
Rebuild skid or buy another one depending on cost
check wire rub through under nose cone
Change coolant
Non-priority:
Spark plugs
carb sync/cleaning
check exhaust for leaks (espeically donughts off flex pipes attached to head)
Pretty minor stuff really.

I have almost 9k on my 04 warrior... she is still mint! I do need to check out my exhaust area too as I think my gaskets are gone. I plan on keeping this seld for a while. the one thing I hate the most about the new yami's is the cowling... I love my one piece.. flip the hood and you are in!

Looks like I'll wait a couple of years before getting a new toy.
I'm going to rebuild the front end. Not sure if I'll put a new set of Simmons on. Like them but they are expensive.
My track has some hard miles. I don’t want to spring for a M10 but are there any other mfg skids that are a reasonable cost upgrade. I'm more of a touring rider than ditch banger.

My polaris edge would work great in there! M10 like ride without the price, and mine is all set up for a RX1. See my ad in the classifieds. Thanks!

olins are a nice upgrade to the rear suspension or a revalve on your current ones.

One of my skies shows some major wear. Looking to replace. Are any of the latter skies like from the Apex lighter and/or better and will they fit on my Warrior.
I seen take offs for sale for a resonable price

They will fit but they are not much better. I went to simmons on all of my sleds and I have several buddies running USI's. the USI's are really hard to turn at slow or no speed. I really love the simmons, they have carbides on the inner & outer edges and seem to really bite in the turns when you get that ski lift.

I've got over 13000 miles on mine. Turboed since new. Have to rebuild my X pert skid this year with new bushings etc. Other than normal wear items motor is still running strong.

I like the simmons I have also but the plastic wore away from the carbide allowing the front of the carbide to grab a support plate on a bridge I was crossing.
Now I get to replace the skies, spindle, and A-arms.
I had about 7K on the skies
