Think I must have a chain case seal gone. Changed my chain case oil with synthetic, the oil looked almost like chocolate milk. Drove the machine about 350 klms, changed it again and the oil looked the same. Not that you could see any white in it like lots of water in dirty oil but it don't look right. Thinking there must be a seal on the shaft that must be bad. Anyone have the same experience. Is there any way to tell which seal may be leaking? All advice appreciated.

Mine looks the same way in about the same miles. Put in clear synthetic amsoil and out comes used motor oil color in 300 miles.

Leaky seals usually result in loss of lube and there is no chance for cross contamination from coolant or engine oil.Is your chain tight? if it's rubbing the outer case, this will discolor the lube in a hurry. My advice is to check chain tension and if it's good then take it apart and look for trouble.

I have seen moisture get in the chain case from condensation and cause rust on the input shaft under the bearing had to remove chain case cover and clean everything then oil looked fine after that, just flushing the chain case did not help

Most likely the top seal, but for what they cost I would do them all.
