I saw this mentioned from MSA...great work people! Shows how we all can voice our opinion and get great results.
From the post on FB and MSA, I saw they revisited the closure of using H-58 and came to an agreement.
Copied from MSA
SNOWMOBILERS WIN!
Proof that there is strength in numbers!
Because of the volume of calls to Munising Visitors Bureau and Alger County Road Commission, both parties felt the need to sit down again and revisit the closure of Trail 422! In a public meeting at 1:00PM today Dec 17 2015 ACRC agreed to allow snowmobiles on the 2000 ft of H-58 connector to Miners Castle for 1 more year as long as Munising Visitors Bureau agreed to aggressively work on a suitable reroute to be in place for next year! Both parties were happy that a suitable solution could be reached and snowmobilers WIN!

Also read that there are no time restrictions for sleds on the streets of downtown Munising this year. Seems thats been a back and forth battle for as long as Ive been riding there....I just gave up on riding anywhere near town after night fall! lol

Boy, is that a BIG assumption on your part.......I can GUARANTEE the ACRC and its members is not "happy" about it but rather they agreed to live with the temporary solution.......

Those weren't my words....that was copied from the MSA site. I know they aren't happy. Why? Because they tried to fill their fat pockets once again by having MSA pay for the road which clearly is in need of work, but was not caused by the snowmobiles.
Talked for awhile with someone who knows someone that lives just down the road and this person went right to the Highway Dept. bitching because he is a snowmobiler himself and told them they were lying about the snowmobilers causing the damage when there isn't a mark on the road from carbides or picks.
I received an email from Cathy Pullen (Alger Court House) thanking me for my support. She claims that there have been some (behind the scenes) efforts going on to move the trail for sometime now. She said the meeting Thursday bewteen the the Road Commision and DNR said they will work together and because of the publicity and outcry from all of us will make a difference and speed things up.
