O.K. This is my question....My dad bought the Venture mirror kit for his RX-1, but they came with no instructions. Where and how does this bracket mount?

I assume they are like my wifes vector as she has those.. my rx and her rs are almost identical... anyway you need to take the dash off, remove windshield and the headlight mask so you can run the mounting bar under the windshield and behind the speedo area. once you have that figured you will need to drill holes through the mask, windshield (in think) and the corner dash pieces.. I little tricky to line up the holes but not bad. Hope this helped.

if they are the touring ones the bracket mounts under the windi and the you bolt the mirrors down through the holes you cut. the are wicked sturdy once they are mounted.

You need a template to drill the holes, make sure the template is correct. The template supplied with my mirrors was 10% too small (yamaha's copier musta been set to reduce). I scanned it and resized it before doing any drilling.

yea when i bought my sled it came with mirrors, the guy drilled like 7/8in. holes in the bezel and windshield, you have to take off the little side parts of the console to bolt em on

Wow no instructions. Do you have the templates? Do you have the mounting hardware? There are four tubes the mirror bolts go through so you can not over tighten and crush the plastic.

Mirrors mount up on the headlight bezel just under the windshield. You have to take the windshield off and half the dash apart.

The brace goes inside the dash so the ends are under the mirrors. The mirrors bolt through the brace on each side the middle of the brace bolts inbehind the speedo inside the dash.

Without the templates and instructions you would have to do this by instaling the brace and marking the holes from the inside? Not sure if it can be drilled from the inside. Then carefully do the bezel by marking the holes from the inside. The windshield has the holes but the headlight bezel and dash must be drilled out.

I used to have the instructions and templates but have no seen them in years. If anyone has them that can send them to you it would make it a lot easier. But it could be done without. Take your time and make sure you have the holes in the right spots.

If you look at the pics you can see the brace behind the broken dash. I rolled the sled over but the mirrors survived. Just broke 200 dollars worth of dash plastic.

The other pic shows where the mirrors mount on the headlight bezel.

P.S. Forgot to add use masking tape on painted parts and drill carefully to avoid tearing the paint off around the hole. Best to drill a small center hole then drill to size through the masked over painted side.
