Hey Patfan,
I have the " short" Mirrors on my '05 Rage P/N= 8CR-W2628-00-00 ( it 's the kit)
and If you look under the cowl (lift up the hood & look under...) the L & R edges, you'll see two indentations that are supposed to be the Mounting Holes.. look carefully, they are "prepositioned" for you...
I'll post pics ASAP but If I remember correctly the "indentations" are not hard to find.

I have the short mirrors as well and I see the two pre-marked holes on the back of the hood now.
If you have any picture I would appreciate it.
Thank You & Happy Holidays

Hawkeye, I like the short ones. How's the vision with them though? Are they positioned so you can see behind you without a lot of moving around?

Looking good. I like the shorter ones also and am getting a set on mine. Tow questions : One do they interfere with the steering and Two can you see backwards without lifting your hands or arms.

I' think you'll see that Steering's not a problem and the view rearward is not much of an issue either IMO.... yea I have to squirm just a bit to get the perfect View Backwards, but overall I don't move my elbows... When seated.. I'm looking at my outter thigh( slightly).....
Brrrrrr I grabbed pics without a coat.. my BAD " HONEEEEEY... come'here a sec..."
BTW....I'm 5'9" 205lbs

I put on the style that mount high on the windshield shroud and they work great.
You can see them in this picture on a Venture.

Thanks Flipper. That link clears it up for me on the Venture style. I thought they mounted to the hood indents like the others. Those must be what you have MM? I prefer the looks of the shorter cowl mount style, but I'll bet these are positioned to work much better.
