Since they share the same hood, mirrors are no uglier on an RX1 as they are on a Venture..............

Looks like this is my only option. Do they fold in so it will not effect the cover. THANKS........

Do yourself a favor and buy the Venture mirrors, there is no better mirror for that sled!!! I have them on my RX-1 and Vector, I'm so spoiled with them that I can't stand riding my Apex while leading, there are no great options for the Apex yet. I stopped in Timberline Motor Sports this past Wednesday and bought/mounted an ugly ski doo set up, it works but is but ugly! the Venture mirrors are great and they fold in for trailering and at night when the headlights from behind are in your eyes you just reach up and fold them back!
I'm going to try and figure out a way to mount a set of sport/street bike mirrors to my Apex for next year and they should have a forward facing yellow/amber light that can be used as a safety feature and using a multi control switch that can control those side makers, running lights, flasher and or blinkers. If anyones interested in this setup PM me and I'll let you know what the new set up is and how it works. Probably something the industry should have been doing for years, with Tork's help this will become a reality!

Unfortunately, they do not fold. I keep mine in a trailer, so no problemo. You could probably get an auto upholstery shop or a place that does boat seat covers to modify it.

They fold
They do fold.....the Venture mirrors will fold back...there is some kind of spring system inside the post.....I can’t say for sure that they will go back far enough to not interfere with the cover though…..I personally would not leave them folded back for a long period….It likely would stretch out the spring….I can take a picture of them folded if someone needs it….JD
PS…I still think they look pretty on an RX-1…..

Mirrors
I bought the new styled mirrors that fit the polaris Gen 11 body and shaped the base to fit the RX hood and they fit perfectly. They snap out of the way when you cover the machine or are loading it and you do not have to always ajust the mirror due to shaking or vibration. The cost through Royal Distributing was 48.00 for the pair. Simple to install.

I repeat the Venture mirrors do fold down to the windshield. They can be left there without hurting the spring washers. I have left mine folded under the cover for weeks. The cover fits quite nicely with the mirrors folded. They do not vibrate and accually work as mirrors.

The Venture mirrors on the RX series actually looks good in person-they appear to follow the lines of the windshield, and look much better than the handlebar mirrors that come with the REV's. In addition they are the best working mirrors I've ever used on a sled! I found they do fold and my Yama cover fits nicely. Before you start drilling holes in your hood for other mirrors, you owe it to yourself to see an RX-1 in person with the mirrors on!
