Mirrors or backup camera

Likely, it would fog up the mirror inside though.

Tell me why it would be a bad idea? (If it doesn't work well I will install it on my wife's car).
Haha, why the wife's car? Does she have problems backing up?? Oh I get it, your vehicle already has a backup camera! :tg:

It would be easier to hook up the trailer! My 01 Subaru Forester doesn't have backup camera or even usable drink holders! I would love one but it ain't happening. One more year out of it and then a Honda Ridgeline.

Interesting you mentioned the Ridgeline as I'm considering one as well. My 4cyl Tacoma is terrible for towing even a one place snowmobile trailer.
I wanted something with more power and pretty good gas mileage and the R. seems to be the ticket. The drawback for me with the Ridgeline is too much cab and too little bed (pan). What do you like about the Ridgeline? Sorry off topic!

What about those bicycle helmet rear view mirror's? I never looked close at them but I would think they could be mounted to a snowmobile helmet? They have a small boom that holds the mirror slightly out and ahead of the helmet a couple inches.

Too geeky looking!! :-o

I love my little mirrors on the handguards I have. They are small in discrete and work just enough to see a headlight behind me that is all I look for everyonce in a while.

You can see the black things on the hand guards here:

Kinger, How do you keep them on??? 'Ive lost 4 sets. Either the miirror pops off the bracket, or the bracket itself breaks. I've given up on them and use a rectangular covex hand mirror. I've got mirrors on every sled except the Attak and the 11 Apex XTX. Yamaha needs to come up with a better setup for both sleds.

I loved my little mirrors as they work Awesome

The ONLY draw back was the sled cover wouldn't fit over them very well

But I really like the camera idea, one 4 my truck one 4 my sled

I saw a vide of a guy who installed a backup camera on his motorcycle and got to thinking. Since mirrors for my Phazer are around the $90 mark, I was thinking of the feasibility of installing a backup camera on the sled. I can probably get the camera for around $70 on sale.

What Model and Whereabouts are you getting these? :flag:

how do you like that gauge in the front of the bars? do you find that it ever gets in the way?

I love it there, never gets in the way, I have the pivot risor so far foward that its not a issue at all.

Yikes never had ANY issue with this. I have a skinz stretchy cover that bends them around a little bit when covered never had a issue with breaking off. Be nice to your baby and it will hold up LOL

I had the Powermadd handguard mirrors on my Vector and Nytro. They worked somewhat satisfactorily, but felt they needed to be larger.

Regarding the sled covers not fitting very well over them, the mirrors do swing down out of the way. I also prefer to use an aftermarket cover with a stretchy material to accommodate handguards, taller risers, and taller windshields.
