Does anyone know if Yamaha has a taller mirror yet to fit their mounting location on the hood. I bought the accessory mirror kit for my 03 back then but find that the mirrors are too low and I can not get enough adjustment to see without part of my body getting in the way.

Both warrior63 and I put the RS mirrors onto the new warriors. I think they would work great for the 03 as well. If anyone is looking for the standard Yammi mirrors, I have a brand new set (still in box) that I would sell for $50.00 or trade for???

:yam:

Everybody was pretty much in agreement that this was the best mirror kit in the threads from a few months ago.

Std on the RS Venture, but they fit all 'R' sleds.
This is what they look like

The problem with the lower mirrors gets worse if you raise your bars as than your arms/hands get in the way of seeing the mirror at all. The only way to see the mirrors is to have the bar almost in your lap.

I had the same problem. I could see the mirror, but couldn't adjust it to aim high enough. I redrilled the rear mounting screw hole a little higher, and the original hole is covered by the base. I also have the mirror slanted up, instead of horizontal. I am 5'10", and it works for me.

The RS mirrors are great, but look as goofy as Rev mirrors.

Hey, Yoop......you forgot to mention your seat work that makes it taller, eh? :D

P.S. you must have gone home........I tried calling but got the machine every time. :o|

Yeah, if you buy the stock yamaha mirrors do not mount them in Yamaha's marked holes, if you already have don't worry because you can drill new holes and the mirror's rubber boot will hide them. Just like Yooper said you can make them work, I did !! ;)!
How do those new tall mirrors work ? They look like they will vibrate because of the lenght of the stem. :?

Might be Grampa looking but they are the most functional mirrors I ever had on a sled. No they don't vibrate at all. Gaurantee no one will sneak up on you left or right side.

I like these no drilling ;)! required just alittle rubbing alchol
