I know these are pics of a Rage, but since I spend most of my time here, thought would share with the ones I know. He was very unlucky last night as a lead opened up underneath him. He and his sled both went into about 10 feet of water. He is fine, but the sled spent the night in the river. They did get partially up out of the water last night, but had to finish pulling it out today. It is in my garage thawing out since he does not have one. I have never had to dry out a 4 stoke before, but we will be changing all the fluids at least once, and looking at the carbs, pulling spark plugs and so forth. (Please excuse the Rev in the background, it is my 11yro 550F. He is stuck with it for a year or two, then he will get my Nytro) I forgot to take a picture of the clutches, they two big blocks of ice.

I think you need to pull that engine apart, it's probably not damaged, but will definitely have dirt and water in it from the river, and you can't just pump that out like you can with a 2 stroke.
All the electronics should be pulled off, put them somewhere warm and dry for a few days so they dry out. They might not work at first, but they'll probably come back from the dead after a week or two...
Good luck, i'm glad nobody was hurt.

last winter a venture gt fell in, cleaned up entire sled due to ocean salty water, drained the gas tank, drain and clean fuel injectors fuel line other etc, oil change refuel tank, start engine let it run till engine bogged, drained oil again then put in new oil, did the oil change couple or several times more, sled was back up running again, dont know how many oil filters and oil were used in the process, though owner and several other people pulled the sled out of the water less then one hour after sled fell in. venture gt still running after falling in salty water, owner had to dive into the water to tie a rope on both spindles of what i heard

He is picking up a case of oil today, and I have several filters here, hope fully it will be enough. Luckily it was freshwater, and clear since no glacier melt right now.
Thanks
