Anyone here with sled start hid are the any good ?Yep ordered the plate
Yes, I have them and they are awesome. Originally ordered a set of those chinese knock-offs and the kit is junk. The sled start kit is really well made, correct wire lengths, nice and neat and tidy. That said, Rockmeister also sells HIDs and supposedly his kit is just as nice, and cheaper. He's a vendor on here.Anyone here with sled start hid are the any good ?

Pat4K,
I have a 2013 Nytro XTX: Here's my Mod list in order of priority assuming ample $$ : Mountaintech 43+2 A-arms ~$650, Star Suspension~$300, Roest Skid Plate~$130, Dupont Slides, Ulmer XTX Clutch kit. Good Luck!

I was considering the Star Kit for my 14 XTX as well as that same Clutch kit, how do you like both sledboy? I ran out of funds this year and figured i should ride without them at least one year to at least feel it first. My sled now has almost no suspension left for compression when im standing on it with the torsion set stiff.

DSimps 10; I highly recommend the star suspension kit. If you are compressing the rear suspension that much, I bet you're 230 Lbs or more so you also need the big boy center spring.
BigBoy-Center Shock Spring 2.3Kg/mm Yamaha # for this spring is 8cx-47336-10. That's the front spring in the track.

aren't you glad you asked this question....lots of different answers to you question as you can tell. I would suggest suspension set-up first which is free....then start reading and decide what is good for you and your riding style and type of riding you do.

How much money do you want to spend? I ran my '12 Nytro XTX stock for a couple of rides. I then added:
1. tuner skis - better tracking especially going straight
2. Bergstrom triple point carbides - skis hold their line much better than stock or Woody's
3. Star kit with center shock revalve - ride is more compliant, less if any bottoming out, just a much smoother ride especially with bumpy trails
4. Yamaha mountain cooler - overheat light comes on much less often but still does sometimes. I ordered the Moflo console vent.
5. studded track down the middle - this one is personal preference. In fact, I'm considering a non studded 1.5-1.6 inch track for next year.
6. Large windshield - the Nytro is a cold sled.
7. Extra 1 gallon gas tank - The stock tank is too small for the riding I do. The trail tank just wasn't in the budget.
8. LED lights - I had a set of D2 Rigid LED lights from my motorcycle. Makes the stock light look like a candle.
9. Large Yamaha tank bag and Yamaha side bags
10. Fusebox from Easterbeaver.com - I use it to run my LED lights, heated jacket, and heated visor.
11. Mountaintech skid plate for extra protection.
12. Dupont slides - I wore out the stock hyfax in one season.
My wish list includes: WRP seat, OFT steering relocator, Yamaheater, and trail tank but for now I'm good.

X2 ON HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU WANT SPEND....
It is addicting thing playing with the Nytro, just look at lists of mods to some on hear, it is pretty crazy. I know I have done a fair bit to mine it is pretty crazy right now and still a couple things on the wish list (re-work rear shocks a little bit more with some more custom bits.....my shock guy loves me)
