I have been thinking about cutting the outside paddles down to the height of the fingers to try and get more bite in crusted snow conditions. My thought is the paddles would then be more rigid and might punch through the crust.

Has anyone tried this? Would I have to do all the paddles to keep the track from riding on the center paddles?

Thanks

My experience with the Maverick is that no matter what you do to it (cut it down, put on backwards etc..) it still is an inferior track. I've since had a challenger and now a powerclaw and both are so much better in every possible scenario. So in my opinion if you just like messing around with stuff in the garage then go for the mod and see what happens, but if you are really after performance gains then find a different track, there are tons of good ones out there on the used market for pretty cheap. Good Luck
