Neither my sled, nor my fathers clunk at all. Why is that? They both have the mono. I ride hard and take jumps (not as much as I did with my F7), and never hear any clunking. We have the tranfer rods set to the max manual spec.

It will only clunk when riding very slow over large bumps. At higher speeds you will not hear the clunk.

It's funny, I hadn't heard a clunk in two years, but back in Feb, we rode a one path trail for miles, with constant turns and holes..no way out, and it was clunking like crazy...no room to pick up the pace either. I got home and my original soft rubber shims were toast, so I made a new set. But usually we don't ride that slow over bumps, so I never hear the clunk anyway.

That is usually when you will hear the clunk. Riding very slowly over deep ruts, holes & bumps like you would typically experience while following a one track trail through the woods.
