Can somebody tell me the trick to getting the cam on my mono shock to move? It is on the lowest setting and when I put the spanner wrench on it does not want to budge.

Use a hammer and a punch to loosen the collars, then go ahead and adjust it. Make sure to retighten it well before riding.

Are you talking about the weight transfer? I mean the cam on the Mono Shock. I might be confused.

If the cam is on the minimum setting you have to put the wrench in the notched ring and put some muscle into it. I had to grind the hook because it kept slipping off. Once the cam is moved off of min just hook onto one of the two high parts of the cam and it is easier to move.

Try a snowmobile stand to lift the rear end of sled off the ground to get some weight off the whole thing. Mine was tough as nails and this seemed to help. You also might have to try the other side from what you've been trying to get leverage to turn it. Patience and it will work.

Sorry about that, I was thinking of the transfer adjustment. When you adjust the spring, make sure you keep within spec for set in. Good write up here on a sticky here on TY.

There's no trick, but mine got stuck too recently. Turned out to be temporarily frozen/rusted/gritted in place or something. I raised the rear to get the weight off, soaked it well with WD-40, and worked it slowly back and forth until it finally freed up. Then I cranked it through full range of adjustment several times to make sure the WD-40 was well worked in. Works like new again.

I plan to give it similar treatment once in a while to prevent them from seizing, especially at end of season prior to storage.

Have a buddy help turn spring as you use your spanner wrench, makes it a lot easier. We had to do this to adjust ours
