Mono Shock Control Rod limits

Hi All.... Just curious, Have any of you guys ever tryed going past the max transfer setting on your control rod? My Attak came with a tool to adjust the control rod and it has a scale with the limits. If I went past the limit will this produce more ski lift? Just wondering if any of you guys that had the 05 s messed around with this. Any body actually take the control rod out just for grins and see what happens? I guess that might cause other problems.

I'm not an expert by no means but I would guess if you went too far it would ratchet the track??? That's what happened on my Viper and SRX when I turned the transfer rods too far.

Last year on my 05 RX1 the W arm broke where the control rod attached to it. There were about 2 weeks left in the season, and my dealer could not get a new W arm, so I rode the rest of the season without the control rod. It rode fine, but you had to squeeze the gas slowly or you would put the sled into a full wheelie and just about flip it upside down. A lot of fun though.

you guys talkin about the big screw looking thing on the bottom side of the track setup? my apex has one of those, but I don't understand how the hole thing works. still kind of new to the new sled age. thanks and if I'm way off track of what you guys were talking about.

Yep thats the thing we are talking about. It adjusts how much weight transfer you get. Sounds like a guy could go past the maximum setting without any problems other than massive ski lift. Thats kind of what I was wondering. Thanks guy's.

Sounds like fun to me. Always have liked sleds that can hold up the front end for awhile. Hit a straitaway and pop the front like a bike and hold it. lol
