I love my GT overall. It pulls awesome down low and midrange but my top end is nothing to brag about.. What can I do to get it to run a faster top speed without spending big $$$?

Not much without more power. I would try gearing down to a 23 tooth on top. I takes lots of power to go faster! Think turbo.

check my threads and signature....

-1inch track
-light studing(96)
-RAM AIR(one of the biggest gains)
-clutch kit(dalton red with DPYRs)
-dalton helix
-machine clutches
-23 tooth top gear.
-synthetic oils in motor and chaincase
-windage plates

to gain top speed on these sleds...you need to do alot of little things to make MPH...doing one or two of the above wont work...you need to do alot more.

I think I found the culprit. I have several bad idler wheel bearings that are almost seized. My local Yamaha dealer recommended an going to an aftermarket Doo wheel that I can change the bearing later on if necessary. They want $54 per wheel for the Yamaha wheel. Thats crazy...
