moto 4 won't start

yeah, i had my carb taken off this summer but that was my guess also. im going to get them taken off and looked at again, and hopefully they are just a bit dirty.

think i broke something in the rear end in it today

looks as though i have the rear axle carrier bearings gone. anyone know a good (cheaper preferably) place to buy them?

actually, if someone could give me an idea of what i need. the bike makes a snap when i roll it forward or backwards and scrunches a little, any ideas?

sounds like the ujoint for the rear driveshaft or it could be the rear drive axle splines. you need to pull out the rear axle in either case. i would bet on the splines. my uncles 1992 bigbear made a simlar sound when his went. only cost me $100.00 to get the axle re-splined. they will not do a bent one though.

was the bearings where the axle goes into the case.. anyone know what these are called? the guy who's doing it is getting the number off them but i owuld like to price them. would it be rear axle carrier bearings?

yes that should be them. all balls usually has a kit for this with the seals as well for 1/2 the price of yamaha parts usually.
