I don't know how good they would go on water but you've got to realize that if you do sink a four stroke it's gonna cause lot's of expensive problems unless you completely disassemble and clean out the engine. At roughly $6000 for all the parts for a new engine I think I'd get a two stroke for that, Ken.

Skipped across acouple of open creeks because I had to. Don't want to run it across too much open water as I have a rear mount turbo and wouldn't want to suck water in my intake. Don't think you would have any problems, unless you sink it, like givemeaboost says, moocho daniero!....Good luck

After about a few kilometers and lots of turning, enough water snuck into the bellypan to cause to clutches to slip a bit. This was in shallow water and I would not try it in deep water unless I sealed up the side panels better.

I have crossed deep water aver 50 meters no problem
had to cross had no option failure would have been death
I Was VERY Nervous but I got over no sweat.
I Feel alot better about having to do it again some time if I have to.
I generaly try NOT to cross deep water. Nice to know I can if I have too
