2010 RS VECTOR GT LTX STOCK FOR NOW!
I JUST GOT MY 03 RX1 AND I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING THE POST ALLDAY LOOKING FOR COMMON ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS. IT SEEMS LIKE ALL YAMIES OVERHEATING IN MARGINAL SNOW OR HARD PACK MAY BE AND ISSUE. I HAD AN O2 VIPER AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM SO I ADDED A REAR COOLER AND A DIGITAL TEMP GAUGE FROM MPI.

ANYONE USING THE MPI REAR COOLER IF SO HOW DO YOU LIKE IT AND HOW WAS THE INSTALL?

I HAVE SIMMONS FLEXI SKIS ON IT SO I WAS ALSO WONDERING ABOUT THE COOLING FINS?

THANKS JDP

I have 2 pr of simmons with the fins I think they make a diff. Its hard to tell.

As far as the overheating I think that is more a dillution problem. I have an 03 and in 8000 miles it never overheated and I have an 05 that in 5000 miles has never overheated either. Both sleds were originally filled with strait fluid at the dealer because they didn't know it ws to be dilluted. I fixed that my self.

OK THANKS I WILL CHECK THE FLUID FOR PROPER DILUTION AND IM GOING TO ADD A TEMP GAUGE ANY WAYS I DO ON ALL MY SLEDS PIECE OF MIND AND ALLOWS YOU TO BE PROACTIVE IF TEMPS RISE!
