Doing a search and cannot find quickly.
Is it possible to move the c clip with the shock still in the sled?
What needs to be done?
Leaving on a trip soon!

I did this using a rachet strap with the smaller hook ends. It took me a few times to position the strap so that i could compress the spring enough to make th adjustment . I basically hooked it to the spring near the adjusting collar then ran it around the end of the shock and hooked it back to the spring near the collar on the bottom. Very difficult to compress the spring this way and will result in a few minor scratches. Mine is on the second clip and i will probably remove the shock and take it to the dealer when my heavier spring shows up.

umm...I just checked my rear skid for setup....I weigh 210lbs without gear.
I have 40mm sag with me on it from lifted at the back to when I am on it. That is on the first clip, stock. And with the shock adjuster in the middle like it came from the factory.
So why are you guys wanting a better spring?
Does mine need more mileage? 71 miles new!
Sorry to hijack this thread!
I don't think you can change that clip in the sled.

I weigh 175lbs without gear. I can still bottom my RTX (900 miles) with my spring in the second clip and the adjuster 3 positions from max (not sure how many there are total). I have never removed the shock or skid from the sled. the rachet strap methed was not easy or hard, just careful set up.

Would the clip on #1 and cam adj. on #7 be the same as clip on #2 and cam on #1 ?

A good set of spring compressors will do the trick.
Takes about 15mins total.
Yes it can be done on the sled. Thats how I did mine.
IF you are questioning the spring and you are 200lbs or more. Get the higher rate spring.
Be carefull anytime you are working around springs.

Here's a picture of how I changed the c-clip position on my sled. It took me around 15 minutes.
I used a bearing spreader on the spring preload adjuster side and hooked a pair of strut compressors between it and the coil spring at the other end.
