Just installed an MPI Stage 1 blower kit. Brand new from MPI. GEMS controller installed and idle setting at 3. When I cold start at 30 degrees or less it takes 3 - 4 times before it idles on its own. It's lean for sure. I keep adding fuel at idle but still not taking care of it. Anone have similar issue?

Just put to 5. Will see what happens tomorrow morning.

Same here on a Stage 1 build we did on my old Apex last year.

Gems does not kick in for a second or so until after sled starts so adjusting does not seem to help.

My 2011 stocker is the same.

Just living with them so far. No right answer yet.

is there a way to wire the gems in so it turns on prior to starting to motor? SO you can turn the key to accessory and the gems will time out then start the engine.

40 Degrees out this morning. Stalled once. Concerned that when it's like -20 that it won't start.

I'll be playing with the blow off valve. The motor is defineately seeing more air than stock. Blow off valve is closed at idle but starts dumping around 2800 RPM. I believe if it's dumping at idle (which it should) then it will start like stock.

I'll let you know how this works out if we ever get any snow!

Once it's warmed up it starts fine. Just cold start issue.

Mine has done the same thing since installed. Its in the Gems. I believe its swapping over to the gems right after ignition, and when its cold it dies. Its kind of frustrating, though it has always started no matter what.... even though it may be after 4 times of firing then dying.
