Looking at putting a stage 1 mpi on my Apex running 7ibs of boost on stock motor riding 325ft above sea level. I do lots of trail riding and was wondering will I have any issues as I can only get 91 octane. Also what do you do if you only get 87 octane can you still limp it home. Or can you add a octane Boost and drive easy low rpm. Looking at all the cons and pros with performance and reliability sled has 4000 miles on stock motor and not have enough go . Any comments !

I'm at around 500ft, I think. I have a stage I on my Attak. All I run is 93, 91 I'm not sure off. Should be okay. Just watch your knock sensor. For sure do not add Octane boost. It will fry out your A/F sensor....and these are around 80 bucks a pop. You'll have to run some type of wideband for sure for tuning purposes.

Good luck, Boost is addicting. I'm already thinking about a stage II. Do yourself a favor and if you do decide to buy, just guy the stage II. You can run low boost on that as well. I promise you, you WILL be wanting to crank her up.

I plugged your info into the boost calculator (attached). You're a bit low on octane according to it, but my experience is that you should be OK on 91 if you aren't giving it sustained WOT pulls.
