As the title states, I have error code 20 showing all the time. This is a new install & my first boosted sled. Now error code 20 means manifold pressure is not correct. Sled will start & run. Good power, will make 12 lbs on boost guage. Just don't know if this is normal or not. Any info would be appreciated. Hans

Not normal, whats your altitude, did you make sure your map sensor is plugged in all the way?

Altitude is 1000' will check map sensor plug. Thanks
Hans

OK checked all plugs, removed and replugged and still the same code. Any other suggestions please. Hans

Humm what do you have the altitude comp set at on the MPI box?

If its a map sensor error there is a likely a problem with the sensor.

Altitude compensation is set @ 8 as per set up sheet from Ulmer.

Sounds like a messed up sensor to me. Have to get a service manual to check to see if there are resistance checks you can do to the sensor with an ohm meter. I have a book at home but its not a help to you right now since Im not near it.

I think mpi uses a dobeck (sp?)/ Purelogic style controller?

If the code 20 happened because of playing around with sensors, etc. You have to unhook the controller from the intake air pressure sensor, Hook the intake sensor up stock routing, start the sled, clear the codes, (I believe the code 20 clears on its own, but check in the diagnostic mode), then rehook your controller up... pita if its soldered in.... I had this this summer when phuggin around with my sled and that was the only way I could get it to clear. Hope this helps.

Wes the SC box from MPI doesn't connect to the MAP sensor the way the turbo sled boxes do from purelogic.

Check all your lines to make sure one isn't kinked. I had the same error and found a line was kinked up.

OK guys, thanks for all your input. I unplugged the fuel controller and plugged it back in like stock, then turned on the key and code 20 was gone. I didn't even start the sled. Plugged in the fuel controller again and all is good. Did some test running and the code has not come back. Put about a 100 miles on in the last couple of days and all is good. The only thing I can figure is that when the fuel controller is new and blank the first time you turn on the key the error code shows up. Everything seems fine now.
