For those with the mpi supercharger, I haven't ridden one or really even seen one. Do you like them? Worth it over nytro with all the n/a upgrades? Wasn't sure how acceleration was compared to one with mods mine has, ulmer stage 4 kit minus the plugs.

if i did it all over again i would have just gone with a turbo or super, I have all the "normal" performance mods along ported valves. with the money I have into this engine I would be money ahead with either forced induction setup. although I am still using 87 octane gas and I do love the feeling of pulling up to any stockish or slightly modified 800 with what looks like a stock setup and walking by them. If I were to change to a turbo/super I would have to use premium fuel that I would have to special order and ship it air freight to me, or go all out and use avgas and more boost

Generally run premium just because. And all gas stops that only have 1 grade is always premium. I have all the "bolt ons" and have feeing super charger could be had cheap. Just haven't heard much on them at all. Performance vs what I have. I'm sure it's better but how much. Also is there a weight disadvantage? I'm sure it's more and sadly it's all to the nose of the sled, but is it noticeable? Guess just some pre season curiosity on next summers possiable upgrades

Also noticed they have tunnel cooler that allows elimination of radiator so that may help balance things out a bit. Idk just fun idea running through head

S/C is really pretty light. Turbo will add more weight but is a little better on fuel.
That being said, when I run my S/C Nytro with my Apex's, trail riding. When we stop and fuel up, they are always within a gallon of each other.

I have the older mpi nytro cooler in mine with the radiator delete runs 20 degrees cooler than before, they have a new design that is better. it moved a bunch of weight to the middle/back of the sled. if you have the coin for large tunnel cooler and rad delete i would do it no questions, forced induction or notAlso noticed they have tunnel cooler that allows elimination of radiator so that may help balance things out a bit. Idk just fun idea running through head

I have the full size old tunnel cooler on my XTX and that is great that it keeps the temps low, the down side is the size of it. I also had a stage 2 supercharger on my sled and apparently I was one of the unlucky guys who's blower is junk after 1200 miles. I am now going the turbo route and I would recommend this to you. If you decide to go this route the older , large tunnel cooler will not work with w rear mount turbo unfortunately. To me the turbo is the way to , less parts that are special hard to replace items, especially now that the nytro is getting older. The only good thing to me is the price of a kit, but that is all. Go turbo if anything and don't look back.

Installed MPI Mountain kit on my XTX beginning of last season. Added about 25lbs to the sled. Very nice nice kit, quality is top notch and instructions for install were easy to follow. I'm running the stock cooling system with no issues. Running the waste gate at 7 pounds boost at the moment with no issues on pump gas. I recommend buying the heavy steel rivits from MPI for the clutch as the first time I rode it with boost it over-reved quite easily. Installed two MPI Steel rivets inn each stock clutch weight and that keeps the rpms at or below 9000. The only other issue I'm having is tuning the rear suspension to try and keep the ski's on the ground

Yes, I run the long MPI tunnel coolers and deleted the radiator, runs 20+ deg. Cooler than stock cooling system.
Would recommend running the coolers if you want to spend the money.

Saw that mpi tunnel cooler kit has a coolent bottle/hose attachment that replaces radiator an fan. That's pretty much the combo that's been interesting me.

The MPI kit is what I used. Just a bottle put in line for a place to add coolant.

where do we buy this bottle ? or maybe any bottle with right size coolant hose from any sled will work ?
