I'm new to turbo sleds and I was wondering if my viper is supposed to backfire

No its not suppose to backfire... I would guess the fuel settings are not right.

Is it hitting the rev limiter?

Yes it's hitting rev limiter it's set to 5lbs of boost it only happens if I hit the gas and let off right away only happend probably 3 times

I called my dealer hes going to adjust the fuel controller

Where should my AFR be at 55mph at 5lbs of boost im at 9.7 and if I go full throttle im at 10 and when I'm at idol im at 14 then again I'm using the Koso x2

Not telling ya what to do but some other guys used that gauge and had major issues, your afr # should be between 11.5-12.5 according to mpi,I bought the AEM gauge and mine #'s are in that range and no back fires and it's starts cold or hot perfectly, make sure your dealer shows you how to adjust the GEM controller, does the Koso sensor require fre air calibration?my trail turbo is @11.5 @55mph

Got this spot from Allen Ulmer

Ok it's actually quite easy to adjust you just need to move it so you can see it,go to mpi's website and under the support heading at the top go to the nytro section and see the GEMS controller set up,it will explain how to do this, right now your running too rich and the backfire is excess fuel in the exhaust
